Channel 4+1 from 20th August

You will be able to watch Channel 4 an hour later from this autumn on Freeview, Freesat and V.

Just to prove that the broadcasters have more bandwidth than programming, Channel 4 has decided to provide a time-shift version of the main channel from August 20th, 2007.

Channel 4 have not yet said if the service will be carried on multiplex 2 so the service can carry the correct regional adverts (and therefore replacing Film4+1) or will replace the E4+1 service carried on multiplex C.

The +1 channels started in the direct-to-home US satellite TV service to serve the West Coast timezones, but have been used in the UK to "mop up" viewers.
