Whitehaven switchover complete

The Whitehaven transmitter no longer has an analogue signal, but does now have three and a half Freeview multiplexes.

The three transmitters in the first digital switchover area have now stopped transmitting BBC One, ITV1 and Channel 4 on analogue.

This means that multiplexes 2 and B join the month-old multiplex 1 transmissions from Eskdale Green , Gosforth and Whitehaven.

This completes the Freeview Lite service for this area.



So, Digit Al can move on to complete the rest of the Border region in 11 month. Here is was a month ago with Mark and David from Aberfan Aerials.
