m. Chamberlain: Please turn the power off at the mains for a few minutes and then back on, when the box restarts you should have full access to the programme guide again.

Have Humax Foxsat-hdr. One family member is partially sighted and finds the remote difficult to operate. Can I use a basic big button remote for changing channels and volumecontrol. No other operations required, just these basic ones. Can anyone help please?

P.Leslie: The answer is that it might do, as although these have pre-installed codes to suit a number of boxes its not by any means guaranteed that these include the Humax Foxsat referred to.
Its really best if you go into the shop and ask the assistant to check the list of device codes that's shown in the leaflet which is enclosed in the package.

My new Humax Foxsat PVR has lost sound on all live HD Channels. Even old HD recordings which had sound, now do not. I have reset but no joy. Any thoughts?

Glad to report sound has come back all on it's own. So not a software fault. Either a satellite fault or an intermittent hardware fault :-( Fingers crossed.

My remote control has stopped responding. Tried taking out batteries and holding down the standby button for 20secs to drain the residual power then putting batteries back in, but makes no difference. Couldnt get the record button to allow series record either!! any help would be gratefully accepted.
