Freesat will have four new TV channels and one new radio station from Tuesday 16 September: Gaelic channel BBC Alba, Asian music channel Zee Music (24 hour Bhangra, Bollywood and Asian Pop), shopping channel Best Direct and the specialist car channel, the Audi Channel.

In addition, the radio line-up will have the award-winning music station Planet Rock, the UK's classic rock station, delivering the best classic rock music from the likes of AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath. Also with exclusive specials and interviews with some of the biggest names in rock as well being the home of Alice Cooper's "Breakfast with Alice" and Rick Wakeman's "Rick's Place".

All services will automatically be updated via users' set-top boxes, so viewers will not need to take any action to view the new services.

Emma Scott, Freesat MD says "We are excited about the addition of these new channels to the Freesat lineup. Bolstering our specialist offering is a key part of our channel strategy, and services such as these only make Freesat a more attractive offer for the consumer."
