Quest on 14 May, but not 24 hour

Discovery's new channel will no longer be a full-time channel, leaving midnight-10am for new shopping channels.

published on UK Free TV

Good news. For anyone who likes shopping channels. Oh, and Ax Men and Miami Ink.

Broadcast: Discovery to sell Quest overnight airtime reports that the channel will launch on 14th May 2009. However, it continues:

"the overnight block from midnight to 7am on Freeview slot 47 and is thought to be offering half-hour slots to tele-shopping businesses between 7am and 10am ... selling the non-peak airtime because it "made good commercial sense".

More sense than not broadcasting anything on at all in a slot that cost you 10m...
