All the other transmitters will have Freeview HD at switchover.

The "advanced service" is on unknown frequencies, so it is possible that there might be different coverage to standard Freeview and a wideband aerial might be required. The advanced services will move to their correct frequencies at switch-over.

You will need an HDTV and a new Freeview HD box to view the service, and a roof top aerial will be essential.

allan: Just check first that you DO have Freeview HD and not just an HD Ready set with Freeview.

You are predicted to get the pre-switchover HD service from Black Hill, so see Single frequency interference | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .

Jacob: Please first see What does "Full HD Ready" actually mean? | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice . You will have to wait for the final stage of switchover, Wednesday 22nd June 2011, to be able to watch Freeview HD.

Robert Dawson: your going to need an HD tuner,
HD ready does not mean your tv has HD tuner inside, can you give details of what make/model TV and DV Recorder ? i could look them up and see if they have HD tuner inside.

Can you please tell me what is going on. After switch-over we were led to believe that signal strength would be fantastic.
But ITV and HD programmes are on and off almost on a nightly basis. Are they still working on the transmitters, have they given any indication when stability might set in?
I am asking you because you have been so helpful in the past
My post code ST15 0PQ and picking up signals direct from Sutton Coldfield
Thanks for any help.
