Al Jazeera - on Freeview tomorrow

The news service, already on Freesat (and fSfS) will start a daily evenings only service from tomorrow on Freeview channel 89, from 6pm to 11pm.

Freeview viewers will be able to watch shows including Sir David Frost's weekly interview show Frost Over the World and documentary programme Witness, which focuses on human interest stories at the centre of international events.

"Providing content to the widest possible audience, free of charge, is part of Al Jazeera's ongoing mandate and mission" says Wadah Khanfar, DG of the Al Jazeera Network.

The channel launched in 2006 and has more than 1,000 employees worldwide, representing more than 50 nationalities.
