A new feature today - automatic links - enhances the comments section of UK Free TV.

When you post comments, or read other people's comments, the site automatically adds links in to other sections on the site.

This includes television and radio transmitter names, TV and radio channels, BBC and ITV region names, section names as well as any news or other posted story.

Example - before

Andrew: Judging by your location of only being approximately 12 miles away from the main Emley Moor transmitter and yet your area is being served by a relay station makes it rather obvious that the terrain around your area causes severe reception problems, so if after switchover Emley Moor is still out of the equation I would suggest that an easy to mount / low wind resistance log periodic aerial be fitted externally and with this being fed into a standard (not high gain version) 3 way booster / splitter fitted in the loft.

Can somebody please tell me how I can tell if I am receiving HD or not. I see that some people say they had HD before but have seem to have lost it, so how would I tell?

Michelle: Well, you would have channels called "BBC One HD", "BBC HD", "ITV1 HD", "Channel 4 HD", "S4C HD" and so on.

I don't appear to have these channels on my tv guide. How do I get them? Do I need an HDMI cable?

Hi Briantist,

Installed a Freeview Humax HDR-FOX T2 and receive all Freeview channels + FREE HD, but do occasionally get break-up on HD Channels. Postcode GU10 2NU I am connected to a newish Communal TV Aerial the Signal strength is only 27% - the question is 'Should I expect a higher Signal strength and any idea why Break-up occurs ?

kind regards
morrie

morrie: First, I would suggest you replace the "fly lead" that connects your box to the aerial socket.

If that doesn't fix it, I suggest you contact whoever manges your communal aerial system and ask them to check your connection as they should be able to provide you with a good connection.
