Black Hill, Scotland switchover process starts

Tonight sees the end of BBC TWO Scotland as an analogue service. If you live in Glasgow or the central belt of Scotland, you will have to retune.

This week sees the first stage of the digital television switchover for the 1,014,000 homes in Glasgow and much of the central belt of Scotland.

From 6am Wednesday 8th June 2011, you will need to a "first time installation" retune on your Freeview box or television set if you use the Black Hill full service Freeview transmitter.

If you use the Abington, Biggar, Bridge of Allan, Broughton, Callander, Cathcart, Clachan, Cumbernauld Village, Deanston, Dollar, Dunoon Forest Row, Easdale, Fintry, Gigha Island, Glasgow West Central, Glespin, Haddington, Kelvindale, Killearn, Kilmacolm, Kirkconnel, Kirkfieldbank, Largs, Leadhills, Millport, Netherton Braes, New Cumnock, Ravenscraig VP, Rothesay, Rothesay Town, South Knapdale, Strachur, Strathblane, Strathyre, Strathyre Link, Tarbert, Tighnabruaich, Tillicoultry, Twechar, Uplawmoor, or West Kilbride relay transmitter, from this date you will be able to receive the BBC Freeview services (with the exception of HD), and you will no longer be able to view BBC TWO on analogue.

You MAY find that old equipment will no longer work - see TVs and boxes that do not support the 8k-mode

On Wednesday 22nd June 2011 will see the second stage of switchover, which provides the final Freeview configuration, including Freeview HD for all transmitters in this region.

Hi,

I am receiving most channels, but usa channel has a good picture with 98% signal with no sound tried two tvs in house with different digital arials no sound either, can you suggest a solution, thanks.
