Can I use my ex-contract sky digital satellite receiver to get Freeview channels
You can get the following Freeview channels on with an ex-contract digital satellite receiver (once it is connected). Items marked with a star require either a Freesat from Sky (fSfS) card, or a expired Sky subscription card to view.

nicky: When you say "it is hooked upto sky", do you mean by a SCART or aerial lead?

Hi I recently got a sky+hd box and subscribe to sky. I`m using old standard box in other room but get BBC London, BBC England and no STV or Channel 5. I live in Scotland. Could you please advise.

Liz: The Sky box will provide the English services without a viewing card to tell it otherwise. If you have a fSfS ("Freesat from Sky") card, you can ring Sky and tell them you live in Scotland.
If you don't, then you will need a fSfS card - call 08442 411 602 and they will sell you one for about £25.
Another option is to get a Freesat box, you can get these from about £30 - you enter your postcode as part of the setup. See Upgrading from Sky to Freesat
