You can get the following Freeview channels on with an ex-contract digital satellite receiver (once it is connected). Items marked with a star require either a Freesat from Sky (fSfS) card, or a expired Sky subscription card to view.

Pic: You should try re-setting your box by removing the mains lead for about 15 seconds or so before re-connecting again, then once it starts to respond to the remote control again let it go through the usual "searching for listings" procedure.

julie: Basically no, as Sky de-activates the recording side of the box as they have permanently control of its access with this including play back as well, so anything stored will in effect be lost unless its downloaded into a DVD recorder or whatever beforehand.

Although I no longer subscribe, my Sky+ box epg still shows all the subscription channels. Is there any way of changing the epg so I only see the free to view channels?

Malcolm K: No! you cannot alter anything on a Sky EPG list as its standard for everyone whether or not they subscribe.

Strange - last night Sat 25th Feb - had Freeview HD on the box through my Technomate 6902 - all ok early evening on all 4 terrestrial UK channels - looked in on them again later in the evening after 8 : 30 pm - no sound on any of these HD channels and the strength down to @ 50% vs 90 % earlier.

Tried them again this morning - all ok ! ?

The channel listing is wrong. VIVA is not just available on Freeview, but on Sky for free & it's available on Virgin Media too, (I don't know if it's free on Virgin though)
but still, get the listing right. Oh & I noticed some are not listed. :/
