Can I use a ex-Sky box to receive aerial Freeview?
I am afraid not.
The satellite receivers cannot receive Freeview and vice-versa. Whilst the underlying technology is the same (DVB) the satellite receivers do not have the capacity to receive the DVB-T terrestrial transmissions, only the DVB-S satellite ones.

I live in Gibraltar and need a DVB-C box to receive digital channels supplied by my cable company, however the prices being charged by the local supplier are ridiculous. If I buy a DVB-C box online, will it work, or would it need tweaked?

Margaret Grant: If the system uses encryption, then you may need to buy the specified box.
DVB-C can carry MPEG2 and MPEG4 services, so if your system uses MPEG4 you will need a DVB-C/MPEG4 box.

Hey,
I have recently bought a sky+ box off of my mate with a sky card and I am wondering if I can connect this box into my bedroom. I've already got a sky+ box in my household but I want to view different channels on both at the same time. Is this possible? Please let me know
Thanks Jay

Jerome Thompson: Yes, you can. Without a Sky subscription, however, the Sky+ box will not play/record/pause, so you gain nothing over having a standard Sky box.

Hi, I have 2 sky freeview sets and were moving to a place with out a dish can we use a normal aerial, or do we have to pay out again for sky to fit a dish ?

Lisa Wallace: You don't have to pay Sky to fit a dish, you can pay anyone you like. Even places like Argos will do such an install for £100, Twin Freesat Installation. Reviews, Twin Freesat Installation. Ratings at Argos .
