How do I receive all of uktv+ channels (gold, style, food etc) using my Freeview
The only "UK" channels on Freeview are "UK Home Style" and "UK History". These are free-to-air channels and require no subscription.
The other UK channels are subscription channels and can be watched via Sky or cable.

Ed Myer: Actually, there is a limited transmission of G.O.L.D as part of the legacy to Top-up TV subscribers. This has been cut back now to a daytime service due to the launch of Channel 5 +1.

I have a SKY+ box . I have no problem with SKY reception. When I tune my TV for Digital channels I receive about 50% of the Channels. I can get CBeebies and BBC parliament BBC4 but I cannot get BBC1 and 2. I can get these channels through SKY TV. Previously I was able to get these channels which allowed us to watch SKY channels on one TV and BBC etc on another TV in an adjacent room.
Can you help?.My aerial is outside on the side of my house

alan: Although the hard drive contained within the unit might only be exactly that, its the software and circuitry associated with the control of same that to my knowledge no one has ever been able to crack, basically because of anything remotely associated with the access codes used in a Sky box having an unbelievably high level of security attached to it, equally on par with a bank if not even more so!
This was also in evidence in the circuit diagrams that were published for Sky boxes, as blank sections were seen in any of the parts of the circuitry referred to, this whereby a multitude of connecting wires came in effect to an abrupt end.

alan: Sell it on and get a Freesat+ box. Sky want money to enable recording, even of free-to-air transmissions. This unwanted feature is built in to their firmware.
It appears that some Sky boxes could have different firmware loaded - see http://www.steves-homepag…3159 for an example. However, since that involves soldering cables onto the circuit board to use the external firmware-loading circuitry (JTAG), it's really only for the serious, dedicated enthusiast - and you still have to find someone who's bypassed it for your specific model of box.
