BBC future: make sure you make the deadline
Brian Butterworth published on UK Free TV
Leaving aside the weekly does of BBC Radio 4's Feedback (with Roger Bolton) and BBC One's Points of View (with Jeremy Vine) there are now two ways to let "the powers that be" know about what you think the BBC should – and should not – do in the coming decade.

I was really disappointed with both surveys; not once was I asked my sexual orientation or ethnicity. That is the least one expects of any survey these days, even the local council asks such basic, yet important, details when consulting regarding moving a pedestrian crossing a few yards.

Peter: You don't have to answer such questions, they are always marked as "optional", but without asking it difficult for an organization setting a survey to ensure that they have received results from a representative sample of the population.

I pay the TV licence for several years but I do not use the BBC, the one interesting programme which is QUESTION TIME, one hour and the host is a law onto himself knowing exactly when to limit their contribution to people like the black port who had to remind him about this one sided attitude when he is supposed to be neutral.
The days of Empire is all over and the superiority image is no longer necessary since I can view, RT,CNN,NHK,AL JAZEERA,BLOOMBERG,CNBC,CCTV all for free with a different view of the global situation without being patronising.
Why pay for limited old news when up to date broadcasting is free and in my opinion relevant to activities as the injustices of the past is explained and consequences detailed without deceipt or hypocrisy.

Nick: Yet according to both RAJAR and BARB figures, BBC radio and TV programmes continue to be very popular with audiences, and dominate the top 30's in TV terms, with Radio 2 being the single most popular radio station in the UK.
How dare they make programmes that actually do tend to 'satisfy the nation'!
To paraphrase Neil deGrasse Tyson: 'The good thing about facts is that they are true whether or not you believe in them.'
