From Wikipedia: The ITV1 brand was introduced by Carlton and Granada in 2001, alongside the regional identities of their eleven regional companies. However in line with other terrestrial channels, ITV1's audience share has fallen in the era of multi-channel television. ITV existed in a region-heavy form from its inception to the 2000s, although the switch was gradual. - en.wikipedia.org en.wikipedia.org link icon read more about ITV 1 (SD) on wikipedia (summary by Clipped).

Please can someone answer why I cannot get any ITV channels and chanels 4 and 5. I can retune ....to a point...in the morning by the evening retuning will not pick up any of the channels relating to the above. I can only get 99 channels out of the usual 112 in the last 3-4 weeks. Is it something to do with the ariel or the heatwave....I'm in somerset

Sam Wilson:

Please provide your full post code so that we can look at what the expected reception is like at your location.

Please also check all the aerial connections from the back of the TV to as near the aerial as you can safely reach, poor connections are a common cause of the signal loss problems you describe.

There may some element of the weather affecting your reception, if so no amount of retuning will resolve it, you just lose some channels that you had before!

There are definitely no problems with the Mendip transmitter as that is my source of Freeview in Trowbridge. With your full post code we could confirm whether Mendip is the best transmitter for your location.

Hi. Can you advise where I can find ITV North West? Channel 3 is currently showing ITV Wales, and I cannot locate NW to replace it. I am in Chester, so well within the area.

Thanks.

Andrew Longfield: Try looking in the 800 range of channel numbers, which is where duplicate channels should be put if you can receive more than one transmitter.

I have a very poor signal for itv, channel 4 and channel 5. We are in rg6 and use the Crystal palace transmitter. Are there any issues with these channels?

Tony hatton: Crystal Palace is the main transmitter serving most of London and the surrounding areas, if there was a fault thousands would be complaining. It's much more likely to be either something in your aerial system (have you checked for any loose cables or connections etc?) or a source of local interference. Please provide a full postcode so that we can see your predicted coverage (RG6 covers a wide area).

Hi, I'm I. Maidenhead and have been experiencing really bad interference particularly with ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, ITV 2, ITV3, Channel4 +1, More 4....and more
I've tried a retune. Checked all connections which are fine. I replaced my antenna and coax a few months back and it was all working fine until a couple of weeks ago. Could it be 4g interference all of a sudden or is there a known problem? Can someone please help?
