From Wikipedia: The channel had been available from launch on UPC Ireland, but was pulled on 22 March 2006. The channel had already been and remains available to Irish viewers on free-to-air satellite for some time, however it has not been listed in the Sky electronic programme guide since its removal on 25 January 2006. ITV3 took its channel number and bandwidth meaning all platforms could be launched simultaneously. - en.wikipedia.org read more about ITV3 on wikipedia (summary by Clipped).

Penny: As you use Stavely In Cartmel digital TV transmitter | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice this is a public service transmitter and does not carry the commercial multiplexes.
If you want ITV3, your best option is to add Freesat to your house.

Hello Briantist
I live in RH19 postcode and receive Freeview from Reigate transmitter.
About a week or ten days ago several channels (ITV3, ITV2+1, Fiver, etc.) became almost impossible to watch; signal very poor and degraded. I note all these affected channels are being transmitted on CH24 UHF. Earlier, these channels were fine. What has happened and will this situation be resolved?
We also have an aerial (our old analogue Type A) which points at Crystal Palace. should we move over to that?

I can't really say if you should move your aerial without a full postcode.

My mother in Law has a Digital TV lives in a flat so shares the TV aerial and until recently has had no reception problems.(Postcode SO16 7LT) However the reception on ITV 3 is very poor with sound and vision brake up. The TV indicates that ITV 3 has signal strength of 40 to 45 and a bit error of between 0 and 15. All of the other staions checked (BBC1 BBC2, ITV 1, ITV2 Film 4 & BBC3) had no Bit Error and a signal strength of 70.
Have you any advice
