From Wikipedia: The channel had been available from launch on UPC Ireland, but was pulled on 22 March 2006. The channel had already been and remains available to Irish viewers on free-to-air satellite for some time, however it has not been listed in the Sky electronic programme guide since its removal on 25 January 2006. ITV3 took its channel number and bandwidth meaning all platforms could be launched simultaneously. - link icon read more about ITV3 on wikipedia (summary by Clipped).

Thankyou for your advice re the web address. I live in taunton-I should have said that before. I found the general advice there very illuminating re digital and analogue TV transmittal.

It sounds as if Wendy and colin who seem to be also dependent on the Mendip transmitter have also had problems. The next day after retuning I got all the channels back and arguably slightly more distinct.

It would have been helpful if the notice on the screen had said that the difficulty was due to a temporary maintenance /lower strength signal, which would have not have alarmed people as much as the loss did without any explanation.

After all we seem to be subject to so much new technology -which could encourage one to go out and buy new TV or video when it appears to be only a temporary lower strength signal hiatus.

The consumer is King!!! Information to the consumer seems rather lacking.

We can no longer receive Channel 10 (ITV3) nor other programmes on Multiplex Com 4 SDN on one particular set with built-in Digital tuner. Have tried going back to factory settings and re-tuning several times, unplugging main plug and aerial, all to no avail.

Two other TV sets in the house do not have the problem
What do we do now?

Help please.

James Helsby: I would be inclined to carry out a complete reset to blank out anything stored, then try another auto-tune after having done so, the blanking out of anything stored being of prime importance as the info stored could have become corrupted.
