elaine wheatley: Do you receive the HD channels on 101-105? Please provide a full postcode so that we can see where you are in relation to the transmitter and predicted coverage at your location.

Hi,

We had a Freeview update today and PBS America along with a few others has dissapeared. I am EH525GZ pointing at Craigkelly. The aerial is recently installed Super Gain 4Y.
I see channels etc 80, 81, 83, 85, then 100, 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, then 201 etc.
thank you and best regards,
Tom

Hi,
Re my comment above, it looks like I am not receiving Com7 nor Com8.
I will check further with my aerial installer to see if it is a wideband or not.

Tom Laird:

Due to the recent changes you definitely need a wideband aerial as the channels now used range from 21 to 56. Only a wideband type aerial, or a log-periodic, will be able to deliver all those channels. You are wise to check with your installer to ensure the currently fitted aerial is a wideband type.

The channels used are shown on the Digital UK Coverage Checker for your location at Coverage Checker - Detailed View

Kenneth : If you're receiving the Craigkelly transmitter, the COM8 multiplex (where PBS America is broadcast) recently changed frequency and you're most likely using a Group A aerial which is not designed to receive the new higher frequency. If you don't have satellite or cable you may be eligible to have a replacement wideband aerial fitted free of charge, which can be arranged by contacting the Freeview Advice Line (see link below).

My Aerial is pointed at Sutton Coldfield
How can I tell if I have / need a Wideband Aerial?

Paul V Stanley: If your TV does not receive HD channels then it won't be able to receive channels such as PBS America which are broadcast in SD but on a HD multiplex.
