No problems with either the NI mux or Saorview, other than putting Saorview channels in the 800s, which is to be expected.

Cambret Hill would be interesting KMJ as it would help out a lot of people in areas around here that can't get Divis. I've noticed the strength of this transmitter has increased significantly in recent months, so it certainly could be an alternative to Divis.
My point about Londonderry is that it's the second largest city in NI, as well as being the second most densley populated area of the province. The fact the ERP is 2 kw only adds to the fact that it's strange it's only a Freeview Lite transmitter.
Still, I've been told most areas in Derry City can receive Limavady, so maybe it's not such a big issue.

Many people who have reliable Freeview reception still have Freesat. There are channels on Freesat that aren't on Freeview.

John: You can get ITV 1 London and all the BBC regions (BBC1 and BBC2) as well as BBC1 HD on both the Sky and Freesat EPGs.
Here in NI we still can't get UTV HD or UTV+1 on satellite, despite promises from UTV that they would appear by the end of 2012.

There's been a significant power increase of the Clermont Cairn Saorview transmitter since DSO Luke, and I'm sure it probably gets into some parts around Newtownards/Bangor, especially if you're at an elecated location with a good take off to the south/southwest.
The increase in signal strength since DSO has been quite dramatic at this location.
Check to see if anyone else has RTE aerials in your area. These will be vertically polarised and pointing in a south/southwest direction.
As Dave says, if you're receiving Freeview from Divis you should get an OK signal from the NI mux at Black Mountain, but you'll need a Freeview HD box to receive this. Some programmes are also blocked due to rights issues (slightly more than on Sky).
You'll also need a Freeview HD box for Saorview from Clermont Cairn as well.

Yep, now put back to "before the end of 2013" Conor, by which stage it'll probably be "before Q1 2014" and so on, so on, and so on.
It's not even testing yet.
UTV+1 is also missing.

I thought all contractual and rights issues had been sorted out when they made the announcement in March 2013 ?

Gus: A Humax HD Fox T2 should have no problems receiving Saorview (at least mine doesn't).
On the north coast Moville is the nearest Saorview transmitter.
