Brian, anyway for me to tell before a regional Look North is on, it will be sad if 1 is Hull and 801 Leeds.

Just been in Set Up Menu and checked Signal of EPG 1 BBC1 and it is from ch22, (Belmont?)
EPG 800 BBC1 is on CH45.
I'm in Leeds area and aerial pionts at Emley Moor.
So looks like I will be on Hull Look North and no longer Leeds Look North.
Another nice mess from the BBC.

Just done that and EPG 1 is BBC1 on CH 22 still but BBC1 on CH CH45 is now EPG 819.
And my picture looks terrible colours and Contrast etc.

District is BD2.
Signal strength is Max. for Ch22 but lower for Ch45 hence the problem, they must have really upped the power at Belmont.
It needs a reduction at Belmont untill Emley Moor is turned up at its switch off or turning up now.
Think they made a big planning error here.
I recall years ago the anologue power of Belmont was turned down in this direction

I think it is giving the strongest signaled on into possition EPG 1, Belmont BBC1 is now far stronger than Emley Moor, remember Emley Moor does not get switch off for about 5 weeks. I think they turned up Belmont too soon.

Hi, KB.
Just spoken to the Digital/anologue switch over people and they advised me to manual tune to those channels you have quoted, afyer a re-scan with no aerial connected.
Also to note not to do any more re-tunes/scans that the TV might request, only those on the 7 th. Sept. and 21 st. Sept.
The picture of the TV had to be reset to get good picture following the Facrory Default as supplied had been done by me to try to get the right transmitter.

Keith, the auto scan was done with no aerial in order to clear out the Belmont or what ever channels.
Then the mauual 7 channels done with it connected but only 6 gave programs the one with nothing will be for HD sets I presume.
This morning the set asked for an auto rescan to be done!
So Belmont or what ever is still troubling it, did not do the scan of course, if any genuine changes like a new station comes I will not get them.
Thanks to all for your advise allready given.

Well I agree after the requested retune yesterday I had Belmont BBC1 at EPG 1 possition and Ch45 at EPG 800. Prior to that I woulf have thought I had the Emley Moor channels for all, my aerial pionts at Emley Moor and is below the apex of my roof which is behind the aerial and Idle is behind that. It is strange that the TV retuned into EPG 800 Idle and not Emley Moor.
I entered manualy the EM channel numbers in the order given to me by the Switch over people, 40, 39, 43,50,49, and 46. The signal on BBC1 is stronger now than the Ch 45 version yesterday, but each time I turn this TV on it requests a re-scan so Belmont must still be stronger than EM.
It is most annoying to get this request at every turn on.

I hope the problem will cease when Emley Moor power is turned up.
If not then the whole digital Freeview will be in a mess and something wrong with the power levels direction etc. of the transmitters.

You do a scan with aerial unplugged to clear the Belmont (Lincolnshire) ones out which you have got now.
Then reconnect aerial and use Manual Tune for each of the Emnley Moor channels, 52, 40, 39, 43, 46, 50 and 49.
It is because EM for BBC is 10k power and Belmont went up to 150k power this week.
