Yes Dave but it is the Mux A on ch22 I'm talking about and it is that which is going to program number 1 possition.
Ok here we have disscussed this and how to avoid it happening in great detail but I guess Joe Public will be stuck with Lincoln News and not his Leeds, Yorkshire local news because of this in my view excessive power of Belmont and the Freeview box/TV set limitations in design.

P.batley, your advise is ok but you assume people have allready had an installation and a dish just waiting to have its co-ax plugged in.
The £175 paid once to Sky is a complete set up.
If no previous Sky dish on top of the Freesat box one would have to arrange purchase of a dish and its installation.

As well as the changes to channels there are changes to the transmision spec. by the BBC and it is known that some boxes and TV sets will no longer recieve.

Not sure on the full power statement JB38 from my chat with Digital UK in town this afternoon.
But I think you more likely to right than them but I will say what they said.
The BBC channels from Belmont and Emley Moor have increased in power but to only half of full power not untill next stages do they go fullpower when the other channels do.

Would think it to do with Sky or the BBC etc. and not SES/Astra or the Owners of the Eurobird which is also used, as these Satellite owners are only hireing out to Sky and the other broadcaster.
It does get complecated more because different Broadcasters up link from other countries too so as to be covered by that countries broadcasting laws rather than those in the UK and Ofcom.

Been to Norfolk Belmont high muxes are coming in very powerful, just at home in Yorkshire.
So if I were in Belmont area I would not rush out to buy a new aerial, I would wait and see how present aerial works when all at Belmont are full power.
