This is becoming a right farse, when DSO was over everyone thought at last no more re-tunes. Who pays for this? Every time there is a re-tune I toddle off to my people and re-tune and say this is it now! They think I'm telling porkies, or some kind of halfwit that I don't know what I'm talking about.

James Cawte, It was the then Craignure transmitter that not only brought colour tv to the area but ITV and BBC2 as Oban only transmitted BBC1

What about the American system N T S C - Never Twice Same Colour!!! The PAL system was the best of the three, using opposite acting phasors to each other reducing major colour difference problems.

You can get any British region anywhere in Britain on Freesat as long as you put the local Post Code in, or get ALL regional BBC & ITV channels by " Manual" tuning in the Freesat menu.

Good move!!!, as it was a major problem in the west of England with automatic tuning . In most cases you had to do a manual tune to separate Wenvoe from Mendip.

All the main channels should be HD, BBC1, BBC2 , Itv 1,2,3,4, Ch4, Ch5, More4, Film4, 5 star, there is enough space on the 6 MUXs we have on Freeview to give it us!!!

Try using Divis in Northern Ireland, a lot of Ayrshire coast does.
