Briantist: This is from the SES web site posted on the 4th October 2011. "The new capacity on ASTRA 1N will be used to transmit Channel 4's main high-definition (HD) service together with further HD services over the coming years".

Briantist: According to a news item on the SES web site, ASTRA 1N has now entered commercial service at orbital position 28.2° East. It will be used by Channel 4 and ITV.

Briantist: Channel 4 HD is now transmitting on Astra 1N, 11127, V, DVB-S2, 8PSK, 22000, 2/3.

Briantist: My Freesat receiver will not pick it up on the "other channels" option, while a generic receiver needs all the ID information, whereas my blind scan receiver picks it up with no problem.

Symbol Rate 22000
DVB Standard DVB-S
Modulation QPSK
FEC 5/6.
It is a duplicate of the channels on Astra 2B transponder 26, 12207 V.
