Mark Hancock: The most likely cause of missing HD channels is your equipment not containing a Freeview HD tuner - you should post your make and model of each TV here so we can see if they have the correct DVB-T2 tuners inside them.

L Otter: Digital UK are "on holiday" in the same way that anyone else who normally works 9-6 on weekdays is on holiday...

Ian Farrow: While it's always nice to know what's going on, what you can do with that information is limited. I mean, you're hardly going to drive to the transmitter with a portable generator if the power is down or go with your tools/laptop to break in and fix the problem, are you?

MikeP: I agree that analogue does not suffer with pixelation. But as I'm sure you are aware, digital terrestrial transmissions in the UK have been ongoing since 15 November 1998 according to Wikipedia.

So I'm not sure why you say that before DSO all transmissions were in analogue only - when clearly they were in both analogue and digital!

bob: Not sure why you are complaining about DSO being a farce - most people only had to retune their digital equipment (or buy a digital box if they didn't have any). If you needed to upgrade your aerial then either you had a poor installation to begin with or the commercial channels moved out of band - which didn't happen at Tacolneston.

And if you are paying out to get 4G interference fixed then you're doing it wrong - at800 will do it for free if you're genuinely affected.

Toni B: How do you know if you are getting an HD channel? Go to channels 101-105...

Kenneth Taylor: It's little wonder considering the Keswick transmitter has been off the air this morning and then since 1455.

MikeP: I didn't mention Sky in my post. But if there were no digital terrestrial transmissions before DSO, then what was I was watching via my digital box and then IDTV via an aerial before 2008? Unless we're not talking about the same thing...?

Paul Evans: Why the hell would you buy a 4G filter when you can call at800 and get a filter for free - that is, if you are actually affected by 4G.

And instead of asking the question on an internet forum, why not ask your immediate neighbours to see if they are experiencing the same kind of interference lately.

MikeP: I've never had a satellite system, and have been watching digital channels from well before 2008 from the Craigkelly transmitter.

The TV was a Bush 26" CRT and was clearly digital - how else do you think that people managed to watch Setanta Sports and all of the other non-analogue channels before 2008?

Even if you don't trust Wikipedia - trust this very website which details the UHF channels for the 6 muxes 1,2,A,B,C,D from 1998 to DSO on each full freeview transmitter page!
