Simon: What regional news service do you receive? East Midlands is Waltham, West Midlands will be Sutton Coldfield.

Danny: What makes you think these will be 6MHz channels?

Danny: I think you are mistaking it for the "600 MHz band" of frequencies - UHF channels 31-37, excluding 36, which will be used for the new COM7 and 8 muxes. The bandwidth of each channels will still be 8MHz.

Brian Wright: The national PSB3 HD multiplex can support 5 HD streams, channels1,2,3,4 and 7/73. The new com7 which will reach 70% of the population by the middle of next year are where the new HD channels will be broadcast from.

However I'm not sure what you expect in terms of picture quality when you take a 1920x1080 source and display it on a 65" 3840x2160 resolution screen...

Just done a manual tune for channel 33 on Craigkelly, the new HD channels coming through fine, Al Jazeera HD broadcasting at the moment.

David W: As you see above from the multiplex listings above, Sudbury is not scheduled to broadcast com7 - you'd have to pick it up from another transmitter - see: Freeview HD extended service from 2014 (com7) | ukfree.tv - 11 years of independent, free digital TV advice

Paul Gilbert : I suggest you read the previous comments to avoid everyone repeating themselves.

Chris Burmajster: I think the only time you will see more channels on a relay transmitter is when they are all switched to DVB-T2, allowing higher bitrates and thus more SD/HD channels. However that would require everyone to have a Freeview HD receiver, so to drive the uptake these, new HD channels are being launched.
