Patrick: Full HD indicates that it can display a full 1080p HD signal, not that it can pick up Freeview/Saorview.

You need to ensure it has Freeview HD built-in to the TV so that it can pick up all the available channels at your location. (MPEG4 for video AND audio will pick up Saorview but you might as well get Freeview HD to actually show and HD picture on your TV!).

Chris: To clear some things up first:
- When did you lose the channels?
- Do you actually receive your signals through a satellite dish, or through an aerial?
- Have you got the model number of the Thomson box?

I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than me regards satellite will be able to help with that info.

I'd have thought Crystal Palace would be fine given it's well below the 800MHz band that is being auctioned off for 4G - that is UHF 61 and above - Crystal Palace uses UHF channels in the 20s.

Vincenzo Mesce: So you have the rest of the Freeview HD channels (101, 102, 104) and you're just missing UTV HD?

Hannington (Hampshire, England) transmitter

Andrew Tegala: As Dave says, there might be a reason why it's pointing towards Hannington, but it seems like you should get a signal from both - you could also try manual retuning into the Crystal Palace channel numbers (UHF 23/26 would give you the London BBC/ITV1 regional services).

UTV HD

Vincenzo Mesce: According to
UTV signs new network deal - UTV Live News
UTV HD should be on Sky shortly. UTV HD should be available on channel 103 via an aerial if you have a TV with Freeview HD built-in or a Freeview HD box.

David Campbell: If you get the 8 Saorview channels (including TV3, RTE News, etc.) then you're picking that up from Clermont Carn as Dave says.

Mat Iles: 4G has nothing to do with it, as it's only being used in under a dozen cities and currently using the spare capacity in the 3G frequencies.

So have you had no TV for 6 weeks? If so, do your neighbours have problems? Do you have other TVs that have a signal? Have you checked the connections and done a first time installation/factory settings on your TV?
