MH: The easiest way to find out if it is 4G, is to call at800 and ask if 4G is operational in your area, which it most probably isn't, and to check with neighbours as Paul mentioned, as they will also be suffering problems.

First thing I did when I got a Freeview HD TV was to edit the channel list to put them in the right order (with BBC2 Scotland at 999 in case there's differences) - pain in the arse if you retune though as you have to do it all again!

tony: From what I remember, the leaflets Digital UK delivered to every household before switchover did mention that you may not get all of the channels (15 vs 40 depending on whether or not you got your signal from a relay). And if you had called or visited the Digital UK website, I would have told you how many channels you were expected to receive...

stef: Are you being serious? You're asking if 4G is in operation, having just rang the company that knows where 4G is switched on and being told there is no 4G?

Mike D: No problems with the HD channels across the water on Craigkelly, although I am right under the mast!
Just the HD channels is strange, nothing wrong with any other channels? Do you get the full range of Freeview channels (40+)? Have you got more than 1 TV? What happens when you try manual tuning on UHF ch 21?

Jack Luxon: The HD channels changed to 101-104 in September, so yes he should retune. If he doesn't want to do a default settings, try manually tuning UHF ch 58, or retuning with aerial out to remove all of the channels, then again with it back in. Or you may be able to manually edit the channel numbers if you don't want to retune.

Johnm: No problems reported via BBC or DUK, and no problems here receiving from Craigkelly. If 2 TVs on one aerial are having problems, that usually means there's a problem with the aerial system (or perhaps signal in your area). How far away is your father's house? If you provide a postcode we can check your predicted signal.
w miller: I think I noticed a little delay yesterday, but checked just now and it's fine.

Kev: The strange thing is though, although both systems are DVB-T, the UK uses MPEG2 while ROI uses MPEG4 encoding - Sony's website states your model only has MPEG2 so technically it shouldn't be able to display the channels!
