Try: go to menu, manual tune, you need to put in channel; 39 then options, should give you DVB T and DVB T2 Select DVBT 2 This should give you a signal read out, scan and see what happens?

Rosemary, I had the same Humax box, very good it was too,I now have the Youview version.
I had hoped that the option of DVBT and DVBT2
had slipped to the wrong system as did with mine!
What is the signal and quality like for channels 41,42,44,45 and 47, DVBT ?

Rosemary, The quality really needs to be 100% on all channels the signal anything above 40% is fine, I would have thought 27-36% is too low for reliable results and HD on DVBT2 is more prone to loss at such low values. (my quality is 100% and signal between 78-84%)
How old is the aerial? does it have an amplifier? does the aerial lead feed directly to the Humax and loop out to the TV?
Can you see what the signal quality and signal is like on the TV direct, which you say is fine for HD?

Looks as if Digital UK Trade View has been updated to include Mux7 with corresponding dates, earlier than originally planned?

KMJ,Derby: Well spotted you too! I hadn't looked as far as the power was concerned, in my case up x5 for Sandy Heath from 8.4kw to 43.7kw which is good news indeed. A bonus though as Sandy was not due until September 2104. I had noticed that the local mux was shown but didn't mention it.
Strange that Waltham pushes a "local" signal as far as North Norfolk when most of the area, only just west of Nottingham, don't stand much chance of receiving it!

Russ Dring: Just contacted digital uk!
Apparently on the given dates, shown on the coverage checker with a retune, the placeholder names will be shown but there will be no programme content until 2014.

Steve: I have BTSport 1 HD and BT Sport 2 HD which is free of charge if you are a Bt Infinity (fibre) customer with a 'youview' box.
I understand that the Standard definition is available via Sky free if a BT customer or for a fee otherwise.

Frank: You don't say where you are, whether both Whitehawk and Newhaven are in roughly the same direction?
There is no (simple) way to combine both signals as they cross aerial groups.
If as you suspect some of the signals are indeed coming from Rowridge, combining either Whitehawk/Newhaven with Rowridge is far easier. A diplexer for group A plus B/C/D should enable reception of both.
What channels is your receiver picking up?

Frank: The Rowridge channels are all in Group A and are both Vertical and Horizontal. That is good news in a way because by the look of it you are receiving Rowridge on Channels 24,27. Can you get Meridian South news at 6pm (based in Southampton) best way is to wait for the local weather map at the end of the programme, it will show you Dorset Sussex etc. rather than Kent,Sussex and Essex.
The other channels you list 48,42 and 50 are a mixture of Whitehawk and Newhaven.
Can't think of any other Group A signals, vertically polarised you will pick up. The reason Rowridge is Vertical and Horizontal is to cut down interference from Stockland Hill using the same frequencies but Horizontal.
I'll continue when you have digested this lengthy posting!!
