MikeB: Watching one or two programs on iplayer does not take away that I cannot abide all of the news and political programs. I mostly just watch Dad's Army, but that was made before the lefty-liberal elite took over. The BBC's radio is rubbish. Radio 1 was always a joke, after the great pirates were shut down. Radio 2 is made on the cheap. I stream radio channels off the internet and they are commercial stations, so I'm not paying 145 quid to watch DA on iplayer. The BBC news is telling half the brain dead what to think. If you were to watch, say, RT, you'd see what was really happening in the world.
The latest Comres poll shows 52% in favour of scrapping the licence fee.

In fact, don't bother answering me, go to the above site and take on the BBC knockers there. You will have a field-day.

I see MikeB is back. The BEEB's only fan, or he works for them.
You claim a) Popular. Not in our household or any body else I talk to. I also see large numbers slamming the BEEB in various forums. This is probably why they have admitted to 1000 licences not being renewed PER DAY.
'Political ends'. The commentator is intelligent enough to spot that the BBC has become a rancid bunch of lefty/ Marxists. They are a propaganda machine. The News is not news, it is also telling us what we should be thinking. It's interesting, for example, when reporting on this mass migration from the third world, that they were all refugees from Syria originally. Now they report they are all coming here for 'a better life'. Ah, bless. Also the voice tone becomes solemn. It's all done to feed an attitude, and not just the facts. Maybe they would like to give up on Global Warming as well. I see the ice pack in the Antarctic has been increasing by an average of about 100 billion tons a year for the last 20 years, but you won't see that reported on the biased BBC.
Give it up Mike. The BBC are destroying themselves.

It's not the News. It's 'what we should be thinking' propaganda. The BBC don't seem to realise we can watch loads of channels from abroad that report proper world news and shows the BBC up for what they are.

MikeB: Why do you think there is so much comment on the BBC bias on the internet? It would be unusual for a system that is designed to entertain and fairly inform to be biased, don't you think? I don't need you opinions to sway my judgement. You say you need evidence. well, just watch it. And there are huge numbers of commentators on the internet now saying the same thing about the lefty bias. How do you think the BBC will be unbiased about membership of the EU, when the EU pay millions to the BBC (12 million I think, but you know all the facts so you can verify)? You watch it and pay for it. I don't and won't pay them a penny. It weird the way this thing is paid for. We are the only country in the world that works this TV tax thing, and with the threat of prosecution, just for watching a TV. Madness. I see real criminals like burglars getting away with it. Don't bother replying. You won't sway me. I prefer to believe the hundreds at GF site than an individual like you. I look forward to when the BBC is shut down. Judging by the way the licence players are dropping out, and the government talking about alternative methods of forced finance, I can only assume its demise will be sooner rather than later.

MikeB: "My wife loves 'Call the Midwife' and 'Great British Bakeoff'," These aren't family entertainment. Call the Midwife was broadcast at what used to be peak viewing on Xmas day. Do you think it will be repeated at Xmas in 30 years time, like Morecambe and Wise are? I loved the Generation Game and Noels House Party. These entertained the entire family. The above you mention are for women.
I see the latest 'hatchet job' by the so called BBC is Trump. A man who talks common sense, but we mustn't have that.
The government are now going to charge for watching iPlayer (there will be a work around, but MPs are too thick to realise this). But this shows how desperate the BBC must be getting for funding. There must be a very substantial drop in tax take.

MikeB: Just one more fact of many.
"Congratulations to Nick Watt, the telegenic Guardian chief political correspondent who has been appointed the new Newsnight political editor............................ Ian Katz hires yet another Guardian journalist."

Too much hassle? Just click an icon.

licences have never bee higher? You make me laugh. They admitted 1000 a day weren't renewing. I wonder what the real number is? And why is the government in a panic on how to fund this Marxist dinosaur? Charging for iPlayer, moving BBC3 to on-line.
Do yourself a favour Mike, open your mind to reality.
If you want to be charged for poor entertainment and lefty brainwashing, you carry on. Especially after Savile, they won't get a penny out of me.

MikeB: It's shocking value when you consider it is a left wing propaganda machine. If licenses are selling well, why all the talk about funding? Ref your argument about recruiting, they could have just as easily employed someone from a right wing paper, but they never do. I have a brain in my head. I can see the BBC for what it is, and so can a huge number of other commentators.

I watched the France England match on Saturday, there was definitely more excitement about France,

Interesting|?
The BBC's 'What you should be thinking' program, sorry, what they call the 'News' had a field-day over IDS. It was one days news. But no, the BBC made it the lead story for three days when all sorts of things were happening around the world.
