David Paylor:

How old is your aerial installation? Have you checked your coax for damage and checked all the connections/coax-plugs. Temperature changes / damp weather etc will affect the cable/connectors if degraded.

Briantist:

Thanks for the update and information, I'll go and have a browse about later. Shame about Google ripping everyone off and no doubt making more money on which they aren't paying their "fair" share of tax!!

Whoops indeed :)
I got 24 of those emails. Lets Hope Briantist checks that this is a one off and we don't get repeats of our regular update emails!

It might be worth checking that your neighbours aren't having similar issues just in case there is some unusual local interference problem.
Also, do you have another TV set just to check that it's not your TV having the problem? If not, would you be able to take your TV to a neighbour to check it works on their aerial?

Briantist:

D3+4 is still on UHF 54 on Mendip and ArqB is on 52. And in the "Which Freeview channels does the Mendip transmitter broadcast?" listing, some of the channel numbers are showing as -1 or are incorrect or missing.

Cheers.

Winter Hill (Bolton, England) transmitter
Wednesday 28 November 2018 3:56PM

Keith: (and others).

There is maintenance again this week at Winter Hill (Granada).http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/operations/planned_engineering_works

People some distance from the transmitter may get no signal from time to time. Do NOT retune if you have no signal. If you have/or need to retune, try doing so later in the day/early evening as work does not normally carry on at that time.
