ANDREW CARTER FEA:

It is actually listed on this page List of all analogue radio frequencies | free and easy with its own page at List of all analogue radio frequencies | free and easy /Beverley_FM - not that there is anything of interest there!

Mr g r weatherall:

I'm afraid that this isn't CNN's website, it's an independent help-site. They are not at all likely to see your post here.
There's a link to their website near the top of this page, Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "About us" link. About a 1/3 of the way down the page, there's a heading SUBMIT FEEDBACK. Use the link there.

Ian Grice:

I've noticed that since my last reply to you, Sutton Coldfield Freeview has been listed for Planned Engineering with "Possible weak signal" for the w/c 4th Jan, 11th Jan & 25th Jan but the 25th January was not listed at the beginning of this week! This suggests that maybe there is some antenna work going on, so maybe FM is currently on reduced power as well, but I can't find anything to confirm that.

David Winterbottom:

The Wrekin transmitter was on Planned Engineering w/c 18th January with "Possible weak signal". If you happened to retune when you had no signal because of that (or if your set auto-retuned - if it does, turn that off, it's more trouble than it's worth) then this will likely just clear the correct tuning. You then have to repeat a retune when signals are back to normal.
Try a manual retune on UHF C44 which is the one for COM5.
The Wrekin's UHF channels are C26, C23, C30, C41, C44, C47 that's in the multiplex order PSBs1-3, COMs 4-6.
If you can't manual tune, then do an automatic tune.
See Channel listings for Industry Professionals | Freeview for which programmes are on which multiplex.

Les:

One source says BBC Scotland (HD, or in SD if not an HD receiver) is on Freesat 106. The SD version if you have an HD receiver is on 108. Another source says 106 and 174 respectively (yes I find it confusing!). I'd guess one of those lists is out of date.
BBC1 Scotland is on Freesat SD on 960, HD on 973 according to one source.

This page BBC UK regional TV on satellite - Wikipedia might be useful.
As could this page List of BBC regional news programmes - Wikipedia

It really could do with a satellite expert not in Scotland to confirm what's what. (I don't have satellite, I've just tried to look it up!). Maybe js: or StevensOnln1: is reading.

You've probably noticed that there is a very small selection of commercial stations on the Cornwall multiplex.

Paul :

Can't find any evidence of faults at the Millom Park transmitter from either Freeview or the BBC.
If you retuned when you had no signal (for whatever the reason) this will most likely have just cleared the correct tuning and you'll need to retune when signals are normal. If your set automatically retuned by itself (turn that function off, it's more trouble than it's worth) the the result will be the same.

Try a manual retune on UHF channel C25 (PSB2 at Millom Park).
If you happen to be getting your signals from Winter Hill it's C34.
If you can't manual tune, do an automatic one.
If you still have problems, post back with a full postcode so we can check predicted reception at your locale.

Channel 708 is BBC Radio 4 Extra. Does your Sony recorder get the other BBC Radio stations?

Ken D:

Difficult to say without a full postcode to look at the predicted reception at your locale. I can't find any reports of transmitter faults either from Freeview or the BBC, and the transmitter isn't currently listed for Planned Engineering.

Does this happen at exactly the same times each and every day and what times have you had it happen so far?

What are the signal levels and quality for the other multiplexes on your BT Box and your TV?

Check that you are tuned to the correct UHF channel for D3&4/PSB2 which is C24 and that you haven't become inadvertently tuned to a low power local relay transmitter.

Have you changed anything in your installation recently? Check all your connections, coax plugs etc for corrosion, breaks in flyleads etc.

Mr Dilip Jobanputra:

I don't know how far ITV's "regionalisation" went on Freeview. Eg. the West still gets Central on 103.
