Rob, David- the general idea of HD is for the best picture quality, To get that an then stretch it so it fits the screen defeats the object?
Also, You can put HD on as often as you wish but, If it was filmed in SD (or black n white)It will be screened in SD (or black n white)

Jim Stobbart- As far as I'm aware, 4G does not yet operate and thus, cannot cause interference

David- I don't know the film "the French line" or how old it is but if it wasn't in widescreen for TV showing then HD should revert it to 4/3 scope. BBC2 SD should do the same if the TV picture settings are set at "auto" rather than 16/9

Thursday 15 August 2013 7:33AM Nottingham

Andy- Where I live (North Notts/Derbys) S, Coldfield is a main transmitter of use, If not local, COM6 is general 1 of the weaker signals and its channels (VIVA) will be the first to show problems.
Do a signal check on all MUX's to see if they are general similar ?
Do you have a Booster/Splitter fitted or Distribution Unit?

Steve P- People subscribed to BT-Internet will get BT-Sports free for 12 months. That includes the use of Sky Boxes for watching TV.
I do believe there are some internet connection problems but I'm not sure where this concerns Satellite signals?, I think its to do with Youview Freeview boxes?

Expecting 4G interference? Tests now show that you have a one
Friday 23 August 2013 7:17AM Stoke-on-trent

Lisa Plant- Do a manual signal check on BBC1 as your Freeview may have stored signals from Fenton Transmitter (43) or Winter Hill Transmitter (50), Both show as a possibillty. If so, Do a Manual Scan on Signal (26) The Wrekin BBCA.
It may be worth before doing above to check your TV listings for Channels stored in the 800's which duplicate? As you may find a set of BBC Channels that work perfectly well

Helen- A quick look shows there are a lot of Relay Transmitters around Cardiff, Your Postcode will help,
Also making a note of the Manual Tune frequency's will help to tell which Transmitter/s you are picking up signals from.
Check signal levels on Channels BBC1, ITV1, ITV10, PickTV, 4Music. These are two digit numbers
