Arch A:

Thee have been available on the Digital UK website for some time. All you need do is go to Digital UK - Coverage checker put in a post code, select Detailed View and click on Go. Then scroll down to the listings. That will show the current channels used plus when there will be changes and what channels will be used then.

That's one of the main sources of information we contributors use extensively.

You should by now know that signal strengths above about 85% are likely to give pixilation or loss of channels. Too much signal strength is a bad thing (there's an article on this wen=bsite about that, you can search for it). In such cases reducing the signal; strength to between 60% and 85% usualy solves the problems.

Carl READE:

Because they are the channels used to transmit the COM7 and COM8 multiplexes. Arqiva, who own and operate the transmitters, are providing some additional services on channels 55 and 56 on some of the main transmitters only. They are a temporary service whilst further frequency changes are being made to free up the 700 MHz band.

For accurate and up-to-date information go to the Digital UK Coverage Checker at Digital UK - Coverage checker put in your full post code, select detailed View and press Go. Scroll down and you will see listings of the available transmitters at your location together with the current channels being used. It will also show the planned future channel usage.

That's a service that we contributors often use.

Further, Channel 4 is a commercial channel supported by advertising mainly, as is ITV, Channel 5, etc.

Kenneth Hanks:

You should not have retuned! All you have achieved is loosing some channels you already had. Retuning will never bring back missing channels. There is no planned engineering work listed by Arqiva for Emley Moor this week.

As you have not given a full post code we cannot check what the receptions conditions are at your location.
