Brian - as I just noted elsewhere, you seem to have the channels - or the station lists - for ARQa/B reversed. Or the transmitters do!

I am geting on 53 what you say is 57 and v-v.

Bill - If you did your rescan last night they might not have got all the new stuff switched on. Try again now.

Incidentally I am getting 53 and 57 reversed comapred to Brian's info.

For me 57 is BETTER than 53!

57 just usable with internl ae; 53 not. Dunno why!

Both fine with rooftop I think.

Bill P - are you near Cefn? I'm in Chirk and never seem to have picked it up with either my horizontal roof Ae or my - persumably not fussy (? anyone know?) - set top loop.

Mike - I don't think "HD Ready" ever claimed to mean that they included Freeview HD tuners - IIRC standards for these only recently finally set?

I think the promise was that the TVs would work with whatever standard was chosen - and afaik they do?

Freeview reception - all about aerials | Installing

Franca - If you plug your postcode in at top left of this page you will get an indication of the likely strength of signal where you are.

"e1w london" makes no sense.

Unless you have a strong signal you will need an aerial on the roof and a good lead down from it to your TV/set top box tuner.

I agree that your overage man in Currys probably thought HD Ready meant "Ready to receive HD TV". But we well informed types knew that was not possible until they agreed a standard!

I am deferring buying a new TV until they all have HD Tuners and Wifi inputs for BBCi.

Do you know if such things yet exist?

Brian - what I am saying is that ARQA is on 57 and B is on 53 - opposite way to what you say.

Someone on one of the several "Wrekin Digital" pages confirmed this and seemed to know that it had been done deliberately.
