I'm currently getting the following message on my LG TV when selecting BBC1 HD or BBC2 HD:

"Due to technical difficulties, the service you require is not currently available. Please try again later."

I've retuned, but it's still there. Yellow button clears it until the next channel change.

I don't know if this is a Hannington problem, I suspect it's the BBC.

We now seem to have QVC HD on COM8 from Hannington.

I hope it gets used for something more useful in future.

This map is not up-to-date. It doesn't show D2 transmissions.

Thanks for your reply Richard. I'm sorry, for sounding impatient. It was just that the previous comment on this page was Feb 2013, so it looked abandoned.

In Fleet I no longer receive a usable signal on Planet Rock since it moved off D1 (although I haven't listened to it much since it went mono).

It seems very difficult to actually find where the DAB signals are coming from. Basingstoke, Odiham and Hungry Hill are all shown as main transmitters and are nearer than Hannington, but I've no idea if any of them have D2 stations, or if I'm more likely to receive from any of them rather than Hannington.

Thank you Richard and Jan. I'm starting to have a better understanding of D2 transmissions. As I get a strong signals on the other DAB groups, I assume that they must be coming from Basingstoke and/or Hungry Hill, whereas D2 stations are from Hannington or Guildford, so are much weaker due to the greater distance. A better aerial will be the answer.

My need for Planet Rock does not justify spending any serious money on an aerial system. The one that came with the hi-fi is a wire dipole, so I'll just try repositioning it with a view to where the signal is likely to be coming from (ESE for Guildford, W for Hannington).

Thanks for your help.

Thanks again Richard. I'll investigate.

I suspect that this question has already been answered, but I can't find it - what happens with Com 7 & 8 and local on Hannington after 30th June 2018

I've just done a scan and noticed that the _local mux is on 32 and 34 - both carrying the same content (local + Sony movies).
