Another thing I was wondering, should ArqA now show as having a power of 12,500 Watts?, not 10,000 Watts?

The notes above say:
ArqA increases from 10kW to 12.5kW on 28 September 2011. (changes to 64QAM mode and loses its current +167kHz offset.)

I've noticed how if I go to this page: Find out how to receive Freeview and Freeview HD | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice with my postcode of LL11 5FQ, it shows when I click on the Fenton transmitter, the coverage area map shows that it covers patches of west and South Wrexham, Rhosllanerchrugog, Selattyn, Oswestry, Whitchurch, Malpas, Telford, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Tarporley, Halton, Billinge and areas South-East of Uttoxeter as well as the expected coverage area around Stoke-On-Trent.

From this link I am on for posting this message: Freeview on Fenton TV transmitter | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice the coverage area map of Fenton is far more reduced and does not appear to cover any of those areas listed above and only appears to cover all of Stoke and other parts of Staffordshire and not much else.

So which of those coverage area maps is correct?
The one at the top of this page or the one that is displayed for my Postcode?
Hope somebody can tell me.
Thanks. (LL115FQ)

Hello,
Would anyone be able to get back to me with my query above please?
I've noticed no-one has replied and usually Briantist, Mike Dimmick, Dave Lindsay and jb38 usually get back to me quite quickly after I post a message so it would be nice if one of you or someone else could get back to me soon.

Kind Regards,
Stuart O.

What is a reactive power restriction anyway?
Is it permanently at 5,000 Watts until 24th October or are there periods when power is increased?
I'm seeing powers mentioned of 10,000 Watts, 12,500 Watts and 5,000 Watts and can't make out which multiplexes have been on or are on or due to be on each of the power ratings I have stated above.
And why mention 12,500 Watts from 28th September 2011 when in actual fact it's at 5,000 Watts?

Think I got a bit confused between the details of ArqA and ArqB.
I guess if ArqA never has or never will be on 12.5kW, then that statement above saying it increases power from 28th September 2011 should be removed.
As for ArqB, clearer information should be given that it is currently on and is staying on 10kW but may reduce to 5kW after 24th October 2012. And if it does get reduced to 5kW, then reasons should be given on this site by Ofcom such as why that date, why 5kW and why and how 10kW is possible for SDN and ArqA but is not possible for ArqB and why it has to reduce to half-power.

On Saturday evening, I was receiving almost perfect analogue BBC1, ITV1 and Channel 5 from Bilsdale. The reception was good enough to get Ceefax and Teletext also.

Monday I was receiving a weak Channel 5 reception from Croydon and was 'weirdly' receiving a slightly better BBC2 signal from Crystal Palace. I say 'weirdly' because BBC1 Bilsdale and BBC2 Crystal Palace are both transmitted on Channel 33.
So was wondering what changes in the weather and in pressure could cause me to receive analogue reception from the North-East on Saturday and receive analogue reception from the South-East in place of from the North-East on Monday?

Transmitter Engineering: If Sutton Coldfield's Digital TV, Analogue Radio and Digital Radio are all working normally over the next week, Why bother posting and telling us this? Is this supposed to be reassurance for us that there is NOT going to be disruption to services due to NO engineering work for the next week?

I thought you only posted to tell us if there WERE any problems or engineering works at a transmitter, not posted to tell is if there WEREN'T any problems or engineering works at a transmitter.

I'm sorry to tell you this, Brian, but there seems to be some problem with the blue underlined links since this new look.

When I click on a lot of these links, it shows the following near the top of a plain white page:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function getbloggoto() in /home/admintv/public_html/s/index.php on line 21

That Fatal error for example is what the page goes to when I click on the Freeview HD link above on this page where the address is: https://ukfree.tv/s/?1…1740

I don't know if anyone else is getting that or if it's just me and my computer. (LL115FQ)

Regarding Local TV, when this was first announced, I heard it would be called Channel Six so therefore it was mentioned somewhere on this site that it would be on Freeview Channel 6 so ITV2 would have to move and it would be on Sky Channel 106 so Sky1 would have to move.

Is this now not the case? Having a Channel 6 on 8/45 in Wales on Freeview does not make much sense!
I don't think I'm expected to receive any of the local TV channels anyway but if I did, I would rather it be on 6/106 on Sky.
