The size of chimney doesnt make any difference the only thing holding up the aerial is 2 one inch square bits of steel hammered into the sand and cement.

Mark i used to love going out with my dad when i was young and yes the tips were great, my daughter has only been out with me twice but she couldnt stand to watch me on the roof. Tom to date not one of my lashings has ever come lose because i know how to do it right first time but i have seen lots of wall brackets on chimnly that crak the bricks go lose and then either fall down or point straight up or down.

Steve the only selling is there advert when you call them you are calling a call center so no real selling there the only selling is when there rigger comes to someones house and sells them a high gain aerial when a standard aerial would have done

There is another thing sky could do they could go down the planing laws. Most of the pubs have 3 dishes of 80 cm or over this is what sky should do is go to the local planing department and object to the size and amount of dishes they stand a better chance of wining that.

Suszanne your aerial shouldnt be pointing at the wales transmitter you might get full service from storton wood transmitter or winter hill but if you are very close to tge mersey you could suffer problems when very big ships i had this problem in crosby. You could allways call out a local aerial man for advice. Try to get someone local on your side of the water so you wont be paying the toll charges.

Donald it is not that easy to line up a dish, there are quiet a few satellites up there and those cheap sat finders dont tell you what satellite you are locked on to. If you have put it up ok just bite the bullet and call a proper rigger it should only take him a short time to line it up .
