susan vann: As per my post above, there has been engineering work taking place at Brierly Hill this week, although there are no notices showing any further work since Wednesday. Have you checked with any of your neighbours who use the same communal system as to whether they are having the same problem? If they are, you should contact the management company responsible for the building and get them to send someone to investigate.

J Hamilton: If you provide a full postcode we'll be able to see if you can get RTE1/2 & TG4 on the NI mux. Some areas can also receive overspill signal from the Republic of Ireland. I understand that Sky subscribers in Northern Ireland are also able to access some of the Irish channels via satellite.

Anthony: If you provide a full postcode we can see the predicted coverage for your location. An indoor aerial may work if you are in a strong signal area, but most of them are rubbish (many are little more than a piece of wire sticking out of an amplifier).

Kate Bradbury: The online TV guide on freeview.co.uk shows several different episodes one after the other, so presumably some sort of scheduling error has caused the channel to play the same episode repeatedly. You would have to contact the broadcaster for a definitive answer (this isn't their website).

Mrs H J Rand: The most recent work reported on the Keelylang Hill page is 2nd November. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections? Please provide a full postcode so that we can see where you are in relation to the transmitter and your predicted coverage etc.

J Hamilton: The Digital UK trade checker shows a weak signal for the NI mux from Black Mountain for your postcode, so I think you would struggle to get good reception. It might be worth asking a local aerial installer as they should know what reception is possible in your area.

Andy Rollins: Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections? What signal strength and quality readings do you get on BBC1, ITV and BBC1HD? There has been recent engineering work at the Salisbury transmitter, however that looks to have been completed on 10th November.

tom: Is the signal from the aerial distributed via an amplifier? If so, check cables and connections going in/out of the amplifier. Also check that the power supply going in to the amplifier is working and hasn't been inadvertently switched off or unplugged. If all of that looks OK, try disconnecting the incoming aerial cable from the amplifier and connect it directly to one of the TV outlets - if the TV connected to that outlet is working it would indicate that your amplifier is faulty and should be replaced.
