Pepe: CBS Drama is on COM6, not COM7. COM7 & COM8 moved to new higher frequencies at Crystal Palace on 21st March, which may require changes to be made to your communal aerial system, so you'll need to get in touch with whoever is responsible for maintenance.

Barbara : Can you receive the HD channels on 101-105? PBS America is broadcast on the COM8 multiplex which can only be viewed on a TV/set top box/PVR that supports DVB-T2 (most will have a Freeview HD logo).

phil : Manual tuning will only restore the missing mux if you have a strong enough signal, although it is certainly worth trying. Many viewers will require a new aerial, which should be available free of charge to those who don't have satellite or cable.

andy: Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TVs? Are they all connected to the same aerial? Do you have an amplifier/powered splitter and have you checked that it hasn't been inadvertently switched off or unplugged?

Richard: The COM7 (C4 +1 HD) & COM8 (BBC Four HD) multiplexes moved to UHF channels 55 & 56 at Sutton Coldfield on 7th March. Have you tried manual tuning on these frequencies?

John Ormerod: Here is the link again (the phone number for the Freeview Advice Line is at the top of the page):

Important changes to Freeview TV signals | Freeview

There is nothing suspicious about you being able to receive Al Jazeera HD and RT HD as these are on the COM7 multiplex which has not changed frequency yet at Rowridge (it is currently on UHF channel 31, but moves to UHF channel 55 on 2nd May).

Richard: You seem to be getting confused. The only recent changes have been the frequencies used to broadcast each multiplex. COM7 & COM8 have always been DVB-T2 since they launched. The only multiplex to be converted from DVB-T to DVB-T2 was PSB3 which was converted at Digital Switchover in order to provide capacity for HD versions of PSB channels to launch on every transmitter. All other multiplexes are able to be received by any Freeview TV/box/PVR regardless of whether they are capable of receiving HD channels or not.

Dr Alan Green: The Dawlish transmitter is on a bearing of 318 degrees from your location. A wideband aerial would be recommended as the frequencies used by the transmitter will be changing next year, which should be mounted vertically. You're only 1km away so it may well be OK in the loft if it can be positioned so that it isn't pointing through any other objects or neighbouring lofts etc.
