Stuart Dangerfield: You will have been receiving those channels from Crystal Palace, they are not carried on any relays in London. The COM7 & COM8 multiplexes changed frequency at Crystal Palace several weeks ago and will no longer be easily receivable if you have a Group A aerial. If you don't have satellite or cable you may be eligible to have a replacement wideband aerial fitted free of charge, which can be arranged by contacting the Freeview Advice Line (see link below).

Sue bradley: Try retuning with the aerial disconnected to clear the channel list, then reconnect and do another retune to pick up fresh channel data. If that doesn't work, contact the Freeview Advice Line (see link below).

Gwendolen Bennett: This website is completely independent and has no connection with any broadcaster or transmitter company. If you have the same problem being reported by lots of people in the same area you should contact the Radio & Television Investigation Service (see link below) who should be able to investigate to find the cause of the problem.

David Whitley: We need to know which transmitter you're using, please provide a full postcode so that we can see where you are in relation to the transmitter and your predicted coverage etc. BBC Four HD is on the COM8 multiplex, are you missing any of the other COM8 channels such as the QVC HD channels?

Whitehead: Are the TVs upstairs and downstairs connected to the same aerial? Do you have an amplifier? Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind the downstairs TV?

Mr Paul Fearn : Your signal strength is predicted to be weak from Belmont for most multiplexes, with no better alternative transmitter. You would probably be better off looking at Freesat.

DJB: If you have 100% signal strength you may be overloading the tuner with too much signal. Try fitting an attenuator to reduce the signal strength.

Mr Paul Fearn : So you're expecting a whole new transmitter to be built for 150 per year? The BBC and ITV setup Freesat specifically for situations like this where a good terrestrial signal isn't available.
