Tony Turner: If this was being caused by a transmitter fault there would be hundreds of people complaining. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? It sounds more like you are suffering from bursts of interference or a bad connection somewhere.

Alan Francis: Have you tried other stations? Gold is only available on a few local multiplexes, it does not have national coverage.

Vernon: Contributors to this website have no further information on how long engineering work will last, beyond what appears in the transmitter engineering posts. None of us work for any broadcaster or transmitter company etc.

Peter Bird.: Most indoor aerials are rubbish and only work well in strong signal areas (most consist of little more than a piece of wire sticking out of an amplifier). You can try either repositioning the aerial, tracking down the item causing interference in the evenings or use a rooftop/loft aerial which will likely perform much better.

Mark A: None of those are UK channels, you're receiving them from an overseas transmitter (probably due to the current atmospheric conditions).

m j brooks: Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? There is no reason to be retuning every day and it is the worst thing to do if you are loosing channels as retuning will never fix a signal problem (you're just deleting all of your channels and searching for them again).

Sue Pepper: The additional red button channels are on the COM8 multiplex which is not broadcast from Heathfield (there is no space for them to go anywhere else). This website is independent of all broadcasters and transmitter companies and has no control or influence other which channels are broadcast from which transmitters.

Terry Crimmons: There is no fix, Mendip carries ITV Central HD on 103, there is no version of ITV West HD on Freeview.

E Thomas: There is no recent engineering work shown for the Newhaven transmitter. I would suggest looking for a source of local interference, probably something operating on a timer which comes on around that time. Also, no one here works for or has any connections with any broadcaster or transmitter company.
