Jackie Miles: When you say a normal aerial, do you mean an indoor aerial or a rooftop/loft aerial. You're predicted to get a strong signal from Knockmore (18km away) so a decent rooftop (or possibly loft) aerial should be fine.

Andy: Chances are you have a Group A aerial which is not designed to cover all of the frequencies now in use at Darvel. If you don't have satellite or cable you should be eligible to have a replacement wideband aerial fitted free of charge, which can be arranged by contacting the Freeview Advice Line (see link below).

Jen: Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? Are any neighbours having the same problem? When manual tuning are you selecting UHF channel 47 (PSB1 mux from Emley Moor)?

Audrey Clements : If you're using a communal dish then you need to get in touch with whoever is responsible for maintenance and get them to send someone to check the system.

T J Evans: Depending on where you are located you may be able to get more channels from a transmitter on the main land. If you provide a full postcode we will be able to see your predicted coverage. Otherwise look at Freesat.
