Murray Milligan : You're predicted to get good reception from Caldbeck at your postcode. Are you sure that your aerial is definitely pointed at Caldbeck (approximately South East from your location with the elements on the aerial going side to side) and not the nearby Dumfries South relay, which broadcasts far fewer channels (approximately South with the aerial elements going up and down)? Keep It Country is no longer broadcast on Freeview, although the replacement Spotlight TV is available as a streamed channel on compatible internet connected TVs.

Ruth: Because those channels are carried on the COM7 & COM8 multiplexes which are no longer broadcast from Caldbeck.

Chris Benson: I think MikeP is misreading the DigitalUK checker results, as it shows that your friend should have good reception of not just 1 but 2 local multiplexes at that postcode following frequency changes on 23rd October if using a wideband aerial.

It's worth noting that your friend may be eligible to have a replacement wideband aerial fitted free of charge if they loose reception of any of the multiplexes they are currently receiving and don't have satellite or cable (see link below).

David Boyd: You quite likely have a Group A aerial for the Haslemere relay, which isn't designed to receive UHF channel 48 which is now used for the PSB1 mux. If you don't have satellite or cable, give the Freeview Advice Line (see link below) a call, who can arrange for a replacement wideband aerial to be fitted free of charge.

Stuart Tier: Quest+1 moved multiplex a few weeks ago and is now broadcasting full time on Freeview, rather than just in the evenings. You may need to retune if you haven't done so recently.

David magson: Please provide a full postcode so that we can see which transmitters are available at your location, where they are in relation to you and your predicted coverage etc (the coverage checkers only work on full postcodes, not partial postcodes or place names).
