Sue: Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections at the back of your TV and Sky box? Switching the Sky box off at the mains for 5-10 minutes, then turning it back on causes the box the reset itself which can solve many problems.

Liz: The last analogue TV transmitters were switched off back in 2012. Your CCTV system will only be viewable in your building and has nothing to do with any transmitter. Check with whoever installed the system (or whoever is responsible for maintenance if part of a communal aerial system), it may need to be adjusted to operate on a different UHF channel.

Ben: ITV Anglia HD has never existed on Freeview, it is only available on satellite (presumably you saw it being received via a Sky or Freesat box). There are only a handful of ITV HD regions broadcast on Freeview, resulting in many viewers seeing the wrong ITV HD region.

pete: You could try contacting the channel via their website (this isn't it)

wendy shreeve: If you're referring to Sony Movies Christmas, it is broadcast on the local TV multiplex, which is not available from Sudbury as there are no local TV channels in any of the areas covered by that transmitter.

Chris Carter: This is an independent website which has no connection with any broadcaster or transmitter company. No one who posts on here has any further information than that provided by BBC Engineering. If a fault has been acknowledged then someone will be working on getting it fixed, timescales are never given as the transmitter engineers often don't know how long any particular fault will take to fix until they have identified the cause, obtained any required parts and have suitable weather conditions if any outdoor work is required.

Roy: There has been no confirmation that COM7 & COM8 will close at Sutton Coldfield next June (it has been announced that COM7/8 will close at 5 transmitters by next Summer but Sutton Coldfield is not on that list). Ofcom have previously stated that COM7 & COM8 will be able to continue broadcasting on UHF channels 55 & 56 for up to another 2 or 3 years until those frequencies start to be used by the mobile networks (those channels fall within the centre gap between the new 700MHz uplink and downlink allocations - hence why COM7/8 have been moved to those frequencies). No announcement has been made about any channels moving to other multiplexes.

I'm not sure what you mean by interim 209Mbps period?

G.L.G.Lewis: There have been no recent changes at the Rowridge transmitter. Start by checking for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV, unplug and check each cable one at a time for any signs of damage before plugging back in, then follow the cable back as far as you can safely access towards the aerial. You would only need a new aerial and/or cable if they have been damaged by the weather or become too corroded over time to maintain a good connections throughout the whole aerial system.

Roy: Nothing has been formally announced regarding what will happen with COM7 & COM8 beyond next year. The centre gap frequencies are due to be auctioned by Ofcom to the mobile operators for 5G SDL (as mentioned by Chris.SE) next year, however it is not expected that whichever mobile operator(s) end up with those frequencies will make use of them for some time (SDL is additional downlink capacity which can only be used in conjunction with another pair of downlink and uplink frequencies), hence Ofcom have said that COM7 & COM8 can continue to broadcast on those frequencies until the mobile operators are ready to use them. Reductions in broadcast power have taken place at various transmitters in order to reduce interference, whereas other transmitters have increased their output power in order to overcome additional losses at higher frequencies.

Andy: The post above yours shows engineering work took place at Durris last week, so there may well be further work taking place today. Do not attempt to retune.
