Christopher Bryant: Sony Movies Classic is broadcast on the local TV multiplex, which is only available in areas where there is a local TV station, of which there are none in Devon or Cornwall. This will only change if Sony decide to pay more in order to broadcast the channel on a national multiplex with wider coverage.

All free TV channels in the UK

Jeremy: It is not possible to receive Freeview via satellite as Freeview is only broadcast from terrestrial (i.e. land based) transmitters. You can get a Free To View (FTV) card from Sky, however it only enables reception of a few additional encrypted channels, as most non-subscription channels are broadcast Free To Air (FTA) and do not require a viewing card at all (i.e. all of the channels on Freesat and various others) so those channels will be received by a Sky box with no viewing card. A FTV card also allows a Sky box to assign the correct regional BBC & ITV channels on the EPG.

More4+1

Tony Hillman: More 4 +1 is on the COM7 multiplex, so you will need a HD receiver and need to be receiving on of the 25 main transmitters which broadcasts COM7. If you can get BBC News HD on 107 then you are receiving COM7 and a retune should give you More 4 +1 on 86.

Mel: Does the Manhattan box have one or two screw connectors on the back? If there are two, have you connected both of the cables from the dish (the split cable you mention is actually two cables joined together)? If there is only one screw connector, have you tried swapping to the other cable?

ITV 3 +1
Tuesday 28 July 2020 10:38PM

Sue Hindson: ITV3 +1 is only available on Freeview because ITV have some spare broadcast capacity available after CITV closes for the evening. Like a number of other +1 channels, it's primarily there to reserve the channel number.

Maggie: No it doesn't get switched off overnight. If you are loosing signal at the same time every night then it's quite likely that you are suffering with electrical interference from something either in your home or nearby (such as a neighbour's house or something outside) operating on a timer.

Harry: Does the aerial feed work if you plug it directly into the TV in living room 1?

Dave: You'd be better off posting on the Great Yarmouth page, as this is the page for the Crystal Palace transmitter in London.

What's the source for the BBC and ITV cutting their regional news programmes and extending 6pm national and internation new to an hour? I read somewhere the other day that BBC One regularly gets 5 million viewers watching the 6:30pm regional news.

Simon: This website doesn't publish any schedule, this is an independent technical help site for TV & radio reception problems. Try contacting the broadcaster via their own website.
