Matthew Hall: Entering the Usk transmitter's postcode found at the top of this page into Freeview's detailed coverage checker shows that Usk is vertically polarised rather than horizontal and currently uses UHF channels 40/43/46 which are not used at Mendip, not that anything is predicted to be receivable from Mendip anyway.

Marie Ricketts-Rees: We need a full postcode to see what the predicted signal strength is like at your location, but if you are relatively close (or have line of sight) to one of the transmitters in the area then an indoor areial may work.

Greg: Freeview's detailed coverage checker shows that you should get good reception from both Emley Moor and Chesterfield. The PSB1/BBCB multiplex is broadcast on C47 from Emley and C31 from Chesterfield. Interference from a 5G mast is unlikely unless it is very close by and in the same direction as the Chesterfield transmitter, and even then C31 is in the lower part of the UHF band and is almost the furthest away from the 700MHz band being used for 4G and 5G services of all the frequencies used at Chesterfield (only PSB3/BBCB on C29 uses a lower frequency).

Edwin McEwan : If you're loosing signal at the same time every day it's usually caused by electrical interference from something nearby operating on a timer. Although if turning your TV off and on again brings the signal back then there could possibly be some sort of fault with the TV, or it may just not be coping properly with the signal loss. How long are you waiting between loosing signal and turning the TV off and back on? Does the signal return eventually if you just leave the TV on?

Barrie Matthews: This isn't Freesports website, try contacting the broadcaster via their own website. Also, it's never advisable to post your email address on a public forum.

Forces TV

Bobbie : That postcode is predicted to get a strong signal for COM7 from Crystal Palace, however if your friend has a group A aerial rather than a wideband type then they will struggle to get reception of COM7 on UHF channel 55 as it is well outside the frequency range that group A aerials are designed to receive. Does your friend's TV receive any HD channels? Forces TV is an SD channel but it is broadcast on a HD multiplex so a TV or box which can receive HD channels is required.

It's worth pointing out that COM7 is expected to close within the next few months (it's licence runs out in June) and nothing has been announced regarding what will happen to Forces TV or any of the other COM7 channels once COM7 closes, so I wouldn't suggest doing anything that requires a large amount of time/effort or financial expense in order to receive something which may not even be available in a few months time.

Steve: I can't see anything on Forces TV's website (link below) to suggest that they have a catchup service.

William: If you put your postcode into Freeview's detailed coverage checker it will give you the compass bearing of each transmitter predicted to cover your location.

QVC

david mitchell: You'd have to ask QVC. Sky Glass is a subscription platform with all channels/content delivered via internet streaming so each broadcaster would need to agree a deal with Sky for their channels to be made available.
