John H: You're referring to the COM7 and COM8 multiplexes which are temporary services and are broadcast at lower power than the permanent multiplexes at nearly all of the 30 transmitters that carry them. They won't receive a power increase as this would cause interference with other transmitters broadcasting on the same frequencies and will be closing in 2020. BBC4 HD was moved to PSB3 temporarily to increase it's coverage during the Olympics but was moved back to it's normal home on COM7 yesterday.

John H: By 2020 all the permanent multiplexes will have switched to DVB-T2 transmission mode (currently used by PSB3, COM7 & COM8) which will create plenty of additional capacity for the channels currently on COM7 and COM8 to move to. I would suggest you check your reception prediction via the link below (check the box for detailed view) before going to the expense of having a new aerial installed to check that you have a good chance of receiving COM7 and COM8 at your location.

Eric Brett: You would need some kind of HDMI capture device such as the one linked to below in order to receive the HDMI signal and display it on your laptop. The HDMI port on your laptop will be output only (i.e. for connecting your laptop to a TV or 2nd monitor) so plugging a HDMI cable from your combi receiver directly to your laptop won't work.

Nick Warren: Probably not until the BBC switch to broadcasting in HD only, sometime in the next few years (no date has been announced yet).

Mr R, Rigby: Do you have BBC One HD on channel 101? Although Keep It Country is a SD channel it is broadcast on a HD multiplex so a HD tuner is required to view it.

Martin: BBC 4 HD has returned to the capacity it used before the Olympics when it received a temporary increase in coverage. If you could receive it then you should be able to again now after retuning.

Steve T: As above, BBC 4 HD received a temporary increase in coverage for the duration of the Olympics. It has now returned to it's normal broadcast capacity on COM7, which is not transmitter from Heathfield. The BBC 4 HD you saw on UHF C47 is the temporary version which now only carries the retune message and should appear at channel 790 if you've retuned since it was changed on Tuesday.

Paul: BBC 4 HD received a temporary increase in coverage for the duration of the Olympics. It has now returned to it's normal broadcast capacity on the temporary COM7 multiplex, which is not transmitted from Brierley Hill. BBC 4 HD isn't likely to return until the BBC stops broadcasting in SD and make all their channels HD only, which is likely to be some time around the end of the decade (no firm date has been announced yet).

Daniel: Mustard isn't on Sky. Only a few local TV channels are and unfortunately Mustard isn't one of them.
