Retuning will not fix missing channels unless a frequency change has taken place.

Carrie Nourse: Whoever your husband spoke to wasn't from this website, which is completely independent and does not have a help line. In order to offer anything other than general advice we need to know which transmitter you're using so please provide a full postcode which will allow us to access your coverage prediction.

Mardler: If the transmitter was really down, lost of people would be complaining. Have you checked with any neighbours if they are experiencing the same loss of channels on Freeview?

Bidge: The channels you mention are on the local multiplex. The Digital UK postcode checker predicts that you could get good reception from both Black Hill and Craigkelly transmitters for the main muxes, however the local mux from Craigkelly will be better than Black Hill when the broadcast frequencies change later this year. If your Humax has a manual tuning function, try manual tuning on UHF channel 30 if your aerial is pointed to Craigkelly (this carries the Edinburgh news on STV) or 51 if you're using Black Hill (carries Glasgow news on STV).

Darren: The multiplexes carrying those channels changed frequency at Crystal Palace on 21st March. If your TV has a manual tuning function, try UHF channels 55 & 56, if that doesn't work you most likely have a Group A aerial which is not designed to receive these higher frequencies. If you don't have satellite or cable you may be eligible to have a free replacement wideband aerial fitted, which can be arranged by contacting the Freeview Advice Line (see link below).
