Thank you for the reply but why would the signal drop over the weekends? also on a similar subject do you know anything about "motors TV" until 2 weeks ago I could view it with out a problem on freeeview now i get please retune on my hd tv which wont find any new signal, where as on my pc hd it says no video available.
After trying to contact motors tv on several occasions ive had no response.

Thanks for the reply MikeB, Both systems are HD although I now suspect the HD Sony TV may not support the channel even though its only a year old. I alwasy just used my PC DVB T2 card via PC to the Sony which always worked as i said.
I dont know how to to check levels for muxes or what they are for that matter. Both systems show signal strength 42% signal quality 100% is this the problem?

Mike B thank you for pointing jb38 message out.
My Sony Bravia KDL-50W829B 50" does have DVB T2 tuner but in the list of tvs known not to support it Get Motors TV | Motors TV the same model number but smaller screen is listed so I'm assuming mine doesn't, not good news as its less than a year old!
Could you suggest anything to improve my signal?

MikeB: Ive Had the WiFi connected and working from the off on the Sony still no TV Motors it still telling me to retune but doesn't seem to find the new transmission.

jb38: I can only find LNA on or off if i select 240 on the remote or try to tune a channel its not possible.

jb38: Mike when I select Motors TV I get told I need to retune on my Sony tv when i look at the channel numbers its not tuning to any stations between 240-248 so I don't see channel 245 or 248 is this due to my ariel/location? My wifi is fully functional as I can use it for all other apps extra and testing the data rate I get 13507kbs which is more than adequate. Where as on my PC TV card it tunes to the 250 channel and says no picture they are on separate cables but from the same source and the Sony is on a shorter run I'm at a loss.

jb38: the channels from 240 - 255 don't exist on my tv if i inch through as you described it jumps straight from 239 to 248 then 256 nothing in between any of these figures.

jb38: Thanks for the response, unfortunately I did a reset and re-tune prior to the post so I know that's not the problem, could it be to do with mobile phone masts? this is frustrating at least its narrowed down now.

For the last few weekends I've lost all HD reception it has happened previously is there a reason? are the doing maintenance or is it a local service interfering?
