By providing a full postcode (such as W1A 1AA), national grid reference (for example SE123456) or latitude, longitude pair (like 54, -0.5) this page will provide a map, terrain plot and detailed information of the location showing the UK and RoI television transmitters that it is possible you receive Freeview, Freeview HD, Youview, BT TV and Saorview from.

(Don't know your postcode? Find it at Post Office Postcode finder).

UK Free TV uniquely shows you transmitter coverage maps, aerial to transmitter terrain plots, the closest 10 mobile phone masts (for possible 5G-at-800 interference) as well as tabulated information (sorted by direction, by received signal strength, by frequency, by service names or by transmitter name).

Neil mcclure: Check the signal levels on all muxes - your 18km from Black Hill, so your signal should be fine - sounds like the HD muxes have gone due to a problem with your aerial system, and its likely that the others are hanging on by their fingernails.

Hi Brian, I have a question which is not about TV reception; I wonder if you have any advice?
I have purchased a combi-receiver and found that the manual, apart from being a miniscule copy, is unfinished and unavailable as a download. I am doing a bit of improving for myself and want to connect the output from the receiver, via the HDMI sockets, to display on my laptop so that I can do some screen prints. Is this possible and, if so, how do I get the output to show on my laptop?

Eric Brett: You would need some kind of HDMI capture device such as the one linked to below in order to receive the HDMI signal and display it on your laptop. The HDMI port on your laptop will be output only (i.e. for connecting your laptop to a TV or 2nd monitor) so plugging a HDMI cable from your combi receiver directly to your laptop won't work.

Eric Brett: Purely out of curiosity, it would be of interest to know the brand & model number of the combi- receiver referred to?

Guildford transmitter here. After a few months of receiving BBC4 in HD, suddenly it's no longer available. What's going on?

Mike O'Sullivan: BBC 4 HD was only broadcast temporarily from Guildford from the start of August until earlier this week in order to provide increased HD Olympic coverage. If you were picking it up before that you must have been receiving the COM7 multiplex from either Crystal Palace or Hannington

Mine said you had to retune but if it did not come back you had use SD.
Mine did return, looks like BBC messed things up with their messing about for the Olympics.
Wish they would leave things alone.

StevensOnln1: Hiya, how come that if I recieved the BBC4HD channel 106 on Freeview HD from the Idle transmitter in Yorkshire then why cannot I get it now after re-tuning my TV? I think the BBC can pick and choose as to what they want you to watch. I think Freeview HD is a bit messed up at moment with some people being able to get channels and others not.
